A New Picture

Mommy says she knows it is time to update the blog when she starts getting mean emails from a certain family member. Well, not necessarily mean, just, uh, bossy? So, here I am in my brand new towel! I got it from my new friend Mrs. Jayne. I can't wait to use it. (Like I needed any extra incentive for a bath.)

The Good Part of the Birthday!

Here I am with my first cupcake - ever! I know I look a little gluttonish, but it was so good!
Another one. Moms can be so embarassing sometimes. Note the tear is still there from the hat debacle.
Now, I am eating a little more lady-like.
Ah - the other good part of a birthday party! Presents! I got lots of fun stuff. Here I am with Joy & Mommy reading a book from Aunt Christina & Uncle Thomas.

It's My Party & I'll Cry if I Want To...

Here we all are on Saturday at my birthday party. It was great. Uncle Daniel drove to see me all the way from Knoxville! Also, Mr. Daniel, Miss Julia, Joy & Elisa came to see me. We had a great time...
...that is, of course, until they put this dumb hat on me.
Family picture - with hats.

A Visit from the Bomgaars Family

This weekend Daddy's side of the family came for a visit. Here I am with Mommy & Grandma having lunch in Spencer, NC. It was great!
Here I am with Uncle Thomas, Aunt Christina, Grandma, & Mommy at the NC Transportation Museum. We even got to ride a train. It was my first train ride ever! Here I am with Daddy & Mommy by some of the trains in the roundhouse.

Party with Joy!

Here I am with my best friend - Joy! We had a great time at her house on Saturday night. Well, until our parents put us to bed, so they could eat dessert and play games.

Here is the whole gang - minus Elisa who went to bed early. Joy's daddy is a little crazy, so I'm keeping my eyes on him.
Ok. Now that Mr Daniel's funny business is over, I can pose for the picture. Mommy wants me to mention that I ate a blue crayon, so I was drooling blue all night long, but I think that is a little embarassing.

Trip to Bonclarken

This weekend we went with Mommy & Daddy's small group to Flat Rock, NC. It was in the mountains. Here is a picture of everyone who went minus 2 daddies and 2 babies.
Here are Mommy & Daddy in front of a waterfall that we hiked to. It was a long hike, so I took a nap in my stroller while they looked at the waterfall.
Shoot! All the big kids are playing in the creek and it looks like so much fun. Daddy put me on the wrong side of the fence by mistake. If I could only figure out how to get over or through!
Now this is more my style! Here I am in a swing on the playground for the very first time!! It was the BEST!
Again, I am getting the feeling that something is being held back from me. So, here we are on Saturday morning before Easter. It even snowed a little! We went on an Easter egg hunt in the backyard, but none of the Easter eggs had candy in it! Here you see me, a little jaded, thinking to myself "Surely there really is no Easter Bunny. Or maybe he exists and is a little twisted. Or maybe - all the parents hid these darn eggs minus the candy on purpose because candy has so much sugar and makes you FAT!" Whichever scenario, I'm a little upset.

The Office

A Weekend with the Grandparents

Daddy took the day off on Friday so that we could go to the museum with him. Here you see us taking the opportunity to do a little shopping.

Hmmm.... If only I was a little taller, I could see this better.
Here I am with Opa at the botanical gardens right in Belmont, NC!! We had a very fun time. I loved to dangle my feet in the fountain.
Opa is so very tall, I asked Daddy to hold me on his shoulders so I could look him eye to eye.

A New Addition to the Family

I had to write a quick blog to let the world know that I am now a BIG cousin. My Uncle Joel & Aunt Rachel had a baby - Amelia Claire! I hope that we get to meet her this summer.
