Alabama Weekend (in May)

Every spring, we go on a trip to Gulf Shores, AL with Daddy's family.

Easter Weekend

What we did...

The girls started off on a treasure hunt around the house.
Then they decorated cups for their tea (which nobody ever actually drank).
More decorating.
Even the youngest members of the party wanted to wear the tea party hats
...and necklaces.

A Ballerina Tea Party

Kate's cake!! Note the 3 different colored frostings. The cake was also three layers of light-dark colored cake.Tea party food - vegetable tray, fruit tray (with chocolate covered strawberries), cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad croissants, mini quiches, cake, pink lemonade, & tea. The biggest hit was the mini capreses. Yum!!Shot of the food that includes the Degas pictures on the goody bags - it was a BALLERINA tea party, after all.

Egg Dying

It seemed a better idea to dye Easter eggs in the backyard than in the house.

Baby Brother

The big sisters love holding little Luke - even though he can be a bit messy.

John loves to line up his cars. His favorite places to do this are on the window seat, along the fireplace, and on the bottom of this IKEA chair.

Life Around the House

Here's Luke! John prefers to call him Uke-y. He's an amiable enough fellow; he'll answer to either."Wow, Daddy, show me that youtube video again."Kate made a valentine for the birds at school today. (It was her 100th day - check out her hat.)
