More Funny Kate Faces

I am really getting the hang of these funny faces. I love doing them! Anyway... here you can see Daddy is holding me and I am holding Sophie. Such a cozy way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Moesa bought Sophie & me matching Janneke pajamas. So, here we are showing them off. Once more - I am always happy to give Mommy a big "smile."

More Shots of Kate

Daddy loves taking pictures (especially of beautiful girls). And, Mommy thought my dress was so gorgeous, so here are some more pictures of what I looked like on Easter playing in the yard in my pretty dress.Enough already with the posed shots, Teddy & I are off for some fun!!Picking flowers for Mommy...Here's a pretty one for Mommy.

What I learned on Wednesday: Mommy is NOT happy when I pick the tulips. And, one for Daddy, too, of course.A quiet moment to sit and ponder - barefooted preferably. Before I leave, I remember...to find one for Sophie, too, of course.

Easter Pictures

Sometimes when Daddy tells me to smile for the camera, I can think of better things to do with my face....

Mommy says Uncle Neil was the same way growing up.

Wildlife

I was so excited that I got to see a real rabbit! Here I am chasing it!

Trip to Bonclarken

For the second year in a row, we went up to our church's cabin in the mountains with our small group. Here is everyone (except for Sophie who Daddy has hidden from view).
But, first, Daddy & Mommy took Sophie & me up for an extra day of mountain fun.
Here I am at a place called "Hands On." It was so fun. I got to pretend grocery shop. When Uncle Joel was here, I overheard some business ideas he was telling Daddy. I thought I'd be a little entrepeneur myself and buy all the bread, so I could now be the only game in town! Here is Sophie swinging with Daddy at the playground.

On Friday, we went on a hike to a waterfall that had been in "Last of the Mohicans." Here I am pretending to do a few stunts of my own.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun...

My big sister Kate is a laugh a minute. You can probably see that from this picture. Mommy was a little sad because she only kept her hair like this for about 5 minutes. Mommy & I think she looks like a character out of a book in this one.

When Mommy was out of the room listening to Sean Hannity, Kate & I decided to have some real fun. Mommy came running in when she heard 2 little girls laughing in a big way.

Who could ask for anything more???

Here is my sister Sophie. As you can see she is a VERY happy baby. I love her so much!
I am the jokester of the family. We were driving home from the grocery store, and I was calling, "Mommy! Mommy!" When she FINALLY turned around, she thought I was so funny, she took a few pictures of me. I think I'm pretty funny, too.
(For those of you who are worried, Daddy was driving at the time. I hope that doesn't worry any of the rest of you.)

Hats & Games

We thought it would be a fun idea to play our nightly game wearing hats for once. So, here everyone is...

More Pictures from Houston

Playing pat-a-cake with MommyAt the airport (back in Charlotte), Kate kept saying, "Car. Car, hat. Car, hat, funny." I had no idea what she was talking about, until Micah suggested she was talking about the taxis (with the signs on the roof). Sure enough, she thought it humorous that the cars had "hats."
Kate enjoying a little Dutch licorice with Grandma.
Sophie giggling with Uncle Phil.
And chilling out with Grandma.

Botanical Gardens - Houston

Here we are - 3 generations!  Grandma, Mommy, & Me!!  We went to the botanical gardens near Houston.  It was pretty to see all the flowers.
After all the walking in the Texas heat (yes in March), I needed some hydration.
Here is a family shot.  I sure think we are a good looking bunch.

Hooray! The Verticals...

Here is a shot of Miss Sophie Anneke with her Aunt Christina.
A favorite pass time.
To ease tensions between the fighting cousins, we attempted to let them both play with the car together.  Didn't work out too well.  It was too small of a car for two big personalities.

Horizontal Pictures from MS

Mommy is having trouble with Daddy's Mac.  So, we are only posting the horizontal pictures on the blog for now.  Maybe when we get back to North Carolina, or when Mommy gets smarter, we'll try to post the verticals.  Mommy thought it would be a little hard for people with desktop computers to turn the monitor to see the vertical pictures right. Here we are after playing at the park.  We went for a healthy walk.  You can see Aunt Christina, Sophie (sleeping), me, Daddy, Uncle Joel, Aunt Rachel, Aunt Rachel (no, not a typo - there are 2), and Mommy.
Millie & me looking out the door.  Longing to play outside.  That's where the fun is.
Here I am with Charlie the dog.  I liked to lay on the floor like he does.  I am showing him how some old-school duplo's work.
Not everyone has someone so famous in the family.  I have Uncle Joel.  He is the CEO of a company!  I figure since I am his niece, I can steal a rock or two from in front of the building.

Mississippi

We got to go to a really fun park while we are visiting my Grandma Bomgaars. You can see me here showing Aunt Rachel how to go down a slide. She was a little scared, so I held her hand. Here is Grandma and my other Aunt Rachel. You can also see my cousin Millie. I like her a lot except when she tries to play with the same toys as me. Mommy says I'm not a very good sharer, but I'm not even 2 yet! I have plenty of time to learn those types of things.
Here is Daddy with Sophie and Uncle Joel with Millie. Uncle Joel is Daddy's brother. (Kind of like Sophie is my sister.)
