Apple Pickin'

After Daddy was gone for one whole week to Canada, we decided he should take a day off when he got back. We decided to go apple picking.
Here you can see Sophie & me with our baskets. This is when we had just gotten them & they are still light enough to carry.
This looks like a good one. (I hope you can see that I am the one that does all the work here. SOMEONE is back there just munching on an apple.)

Grandfather Mountain

Every year we get to go on a picnic with Micah's work to Grandfather Mountain. I always try to take a few pictures up top to make my mother a little woozy.
The girls. Heights make Sophie a little woozy, too.
For some reason, both girls are screaming in this picture.
And, a lagniappe picture of John since he wasn't really looking at the camera in the other shots. The kids had all just woken up from a nap.

Sound of Music-Inspired Play

Kate ran upstairs to get the blue dresses just now. "Mommy, we are going to be the ladies who live at the church. You can be the lady who is late for church." I saw Sophie sitting on the fireplace with her hands like this & I just had to take a picture. My little 'saints.'
