Here I am with Mommy. As you can see from the sign, we are in Charlotte, North Carolina "The Center of the Known World." I think it is so exciting that I live so close to such an important place.

A nice lady offerred to take a picture with both Mommy and Daddy in it. Don't we look cute??

Mommy took this picture of me and Daddy. If you look closely, you can see the message we are trying to send you.

Mommy wanted to take this picture by the signs for Edgar Rice Burroughs. She thought it was the sign for Edgar Allan Poe. She was a little dissappointed (not enough to go to the Poe signs, though). She hopes that someone who reads this blog is literary enough to know who Mr. Burroughs is.

As you can see, I am ready for a little game of chess (or checkers). There was another nice lady in the park who took this picture for us.

I guess I am that literary person, but I didn't have a clue... apparently he wrote Tarzan.
Funny quote from him... he read a lot of pulp fiction and came to the realization that "if people were paid for writing rot such as I read in some of those magazines that I could write stories just as rotten. As a matter of fact, although I had never written a story, I knew absolutely that I could write stories just as entertaining and probably a whole lot more so than any I chanced to read in those magazines."
Let that be encouragement to any aspiring authors out there.....
great pictures! looks like a fun trip!
