Hitting the Low Country

This weekend we headed down to Charleston, SC. While there, Kate got to try her first sushi. Even though her face looks a little less than pleased here, she eventually warmed up to the idea and ate the whole thing.
On Saturday afternoon, we gathered up and headed to the beach. It was a cold day for the beach, but the kids didn't care.
Kate attacked the water head on.
The water fought back.
This must be why her diaper was so full of sand.

Micah taking Kate & Joy for a walk.
For those with not-so-good memories: this is Kate's first impression of the ocean - Cozumel, Mexico - November 2006. She is 7 1/2 months.
Sophie at 9 1/2 months. The weather isn't as nice, but she is DELIGHTED!
Kate looked like an extra in Braveheart. Micah notes she was screaming at top volume as she charged in.
Trying not to get pulled away by the waves.
Check me out - Kate of 11/06!
Bundling up and having a thoughtful moment. (Note: this was before she laid down in the water and got the towel all wet & sandy.)
Alright, Daddy, I am ready to crawl off to our next adventure.

This is a great post, sis. You are looking great, and your girls are adorable too. Glad you had a good time at the beach, in spite of dreary weather.
