Diapers and Artwork
Today was a very eventful day. This morning I went with Mommy to the doctor's office. When I came home, I could tell that something smelled a little off. So, I did what Mommy always does, I got out a new diaper. I think that it was my teddy bear's fault. I just can't figure out how to work these darn diapers. This afternoon I did a little work that Picasso would be proud of. I found a pencil and drew on the wall in Mommy & Daddy's bedroom. Mommy is a mean art critic and she erased it right away. She says I should be happy it wasn't pen or I would be grounded. I'm not sure what that means, but I don't think it was a compliment of my art style.

Huckabee 2008

I sure would like to be able to cast a vote in 2008, but Mommy says I have to wait until I'm 18 (YEARS!). So, since I can't vote, I thought I'd do a little campaigning of my own on my blog.
Dad wants me to mention that my shiner was from a scuffle I got into with a Hillary '08 fan. Talk about a nasty kid.

Some Video from Holland
Here is a clip of Micah enjoying a special Dutch treat - freshly smoked herring. This is in the town of Naarden which was founded in 1350.
Carolyn, Oom Gert, & Kate walking past windmills in the Zaanse Schans.
A clip of Kate enjoying her first outing on a bike with Tante Nel.

And, a Final Encore
Kate enjoys a spin on the bike with Tante Nel. Just a short 17 km ride for us today. Pregnant women probably shouldn't go too much further.
A small fish in a big pond. Kate shopping in downtown Bussum. We found her the cutest hat at the C&A store. Now we only have to wait until it gets as cold here as it was in Holland.
The morning of our departure. Kate is ready for Mardi Gras. She had the best time putting all the beads on and taking them off.
Kate with Moesa - our hostess for 12 days in Holland. (Note - Kate is snapping her fingers because I was doing that behind Micah who had the camera. She wouldn't look in our direction otherwise.)More of the Netherlands
Another shot from the Zaanse Schans. Kate with windmills in background. Note the headless windmill next to her. Sounds like a Dutch horror movie or something.
Kate - still smiling because it was a few moments later that the goat actually bit her. But, being ever the tough girl, she was happily petting goats (other than this one, of course) a few moments after that.
A canal cruise through Giethorn - the Venice of the North. Micah was our gondolier. (Except it was a motor propelled boat. I told him I'd still appreciate some singing, but never heard anything.)
Carolyn takes to the rudder... Here we (Kate, Oom Gert, & me) take to the lake. This was shortly before it began to rain. Fortunately only a sprinkle until RIGHT before we turned the boat back in. Then - the heavens opened up.
Since Daddy liked the herring so much, I was thinking of finding him a few, but we are going too fast.Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Kate at the Playground
Here is a the first video of Kate to be flying around great "world wide interweb". We just figured out how to blog it. The director, cameraman, director of photography, 1st assistant camera, and 2nd assitant camera for this clip are all Neil Roosma. Shot on location in Houston, Texas after the location scout (Johan Roosma) picked this particular park for a photo shoot with Kate Bomgaars. Craft Services/Refreshments provided by Rinske Roosma. Fun Clip. mb
